I am setting out to meet the unknown in search of the Quiet. The mythical land from which, as they whisper, a song still resounds.
About the path without a trail, the inhabitants of the passing lands sing in silence. They lead through interwoven rhythms, drummed on the drum of life. The instrument hidden in the primeval ocean of all creation reveals itself only to those who listen attentively.

Polish forests or protected nature areas in Borneo, the richness of nature and its sounds is diverse, but the noise is the same.
Protected areas are being created all over the world, where cleanliness and the preservation of natural landscapes are maintained. However, even in the most protected areas, invisible pollutants are overlooked. Because the primordial landscape is not only what can be seen, but also a wealth of sounds. Nature can tell the most beautiful stories, but we are unable to hear them if planes are flying overhead, boats with loud gasoline engines are transporting tourists along the river, and people pass us on the path, remaining absent in their conversations or thoughts instead of attentively absorbing what is around them. Noise is also the trash we leave behind.
In „Zacisze” (Quiet) we present audiovisual landscapes of nature that were captured over four years of travel and exploration in various corners of the world – these included nearby forests, tropical islands, and the wild, remote settings of Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Unfortunately, behind the postcard landscapes of „silence” usually lies noise. Behind one-minute recordings, there are often hours of waiting to finally hear pure nature. A project born out of a love for being in nature and its acoustic-visual landscapes, we would like to invite you to a joint experiment, to pause in the rush of the surrounding world, to rediscover the extraordinary micro-worlds of ordinary everyday life.
