Bone people, the elders that according to Spanish farmers and Pueblo Native Americans from the South West, could revive as people as animals. La Loba picks mostly the bones of the endangered species and fills with them her desert cave. When she has the whole skeleton, she raises hands and begins her song.
She is the borderland woman, standing in-between the rational and mythical world. It’s the land beyond names, yet immediately recognizable while being experienced, where endings meet beginnings and the process of (re)formation takes place.
